Ted’s Fried Clams

Ted’s Fried Clams

Ted’s Fried Clams is a thriving restaurant located in the heart of Shapleigh. The existing establishment lacked sufficient seating and parking areas necessary to comfortably serve its customers.

In the fall of 2007, Terradyn Consultants, LLC was retained to lead the design and permitting effort for both a 960 SF addition to the existing restaurant and a new 1,232 SF Rock House Ice Cream Stand. The improvements nearly doubled the size of the existing parking area, added an outdoor seating area, a connection to a new upper parking area, a decorative retaining wall and landscaping.

Due to the surrounding bedrock, we performed a cut/fill analysis on several different concept plans to determine the layout that resulted in the least amount of blasting while still providing the necessary parking area.
